Best to rejet Nigel... In my experience, you will need a smaller main jet and pilot jet, but it really depends on what jetting you are at now and which country the bike was made for.. Smile

Not had a good look at the carb yet, but have e-mailed Paul at Tyga - thanks for the tip there.

I'm assuming the jet size will be stamped on the jets - what should I expect to find as standard fit?

With the new pipe, I think I may upset the neighbours when I use the bike for work and I'm on an early start? Laughing Laughing

You should be able to see it stamped on the jets itself. Unless Im truly mistaken the main is supposed to be 280 and the pilot 22.5. Try taking out the carb to check. Smile

Sunny and 12c in Scotland tonight so out came the KR-R from the garage!
I can honestly say that I've never felt so comfortable on a small bike after riding my 900 Suzuki all week.
It just goes where I want it, with precision, and just feels so flickable!
Forgot what a joy it is to see smoke in the mirrors as the engine cleaned itself up a bit with some good revs!

Still waiting for the exhaust system from Tyga to be delivered.

Before I fit it, I was looking into coatings to protect it since its mild steel.
It's such a pity to cover up the nice welds with VHT paint, so I'm looking to find a local electroplating shop to nickel plate it for me :-)
I see photos on the net that with nickel plating the exhaust will still go blue around the welds .....I quite like that look!
