I own a kawasaki 150 serpico and i have just send it for start up n service as i have not ride it for 3 years. The last time i rode it,i remember the cyclinder is no more size, nor it is A,B or C. So, my piston have sound already and the cyclinder head n bottom was send to straighten it back,i mean balance top and bottom,my piston is gone. The motorshop guy told me to just replace a new piston, instead off putting in a stainless steel or a bronze tube inside the cyclinder cuz it is very expensive.....

Re: kawasaki 150serpico ss
Hi Matthew. My name is Steven Chia. I'm located in Puchong.U have spare cyclinders for sale which is size A or maybe B? I have wrote a email to Thailand bike shop to enquire for new cyclinders and i find out they do have Gold n Sliver Cyclinders there with u?Puchong and also in Serdang have many Kzr, mostly ride by Chinese guys over here. May i know what model r u riding Matthew? My frens over ride KR, KRR and KRZ most these bikes are either Second or Third generation around from the year 1992,1993,1994,2000 onwards. My fren want was KR year 1990,that is second ,mine is 1994 ,then KRR around 2003 or 2004 that is the Fourth generation last till 2008 ,i think so. So the new one was launch recently end of 2011 and early 2012,that is the Green Ninja Turtle Bike.

Re: kawasaki 150serpico ss
Matthew,to be frank i and my frens was the rider during 90's at Federal High -Sg. Way during that time. U see how long was we with our bike ,it lasted almost 20 year and our bike still going strong as we mantain the engine well, only the cyclinders is not secure, some of the cyclinders have go over size.During that time we do keep spareparts for our own bike and till today somehow we did maintain our bike engine. That is why we're lookin'into to get new ones from Thailand cuz we have frens in Thailand that can help us to get the PDK-TOP GOLD 42 DBS cyclinders.

Re: kawasaki 150serpico ss
matthew, i did want to change but i cannot find a bike with strength in so many areas like my KRZ.
example - TZM - more powerful, with superior handling but the powervalve tends to spoil easily due to heat, and leak. and TZM can never be any cheaper than KRZ. seriously.
yamaha LC is fast and economical but lacking speed like KRZ. its not cheap either and famous for theft.
Suzuki belang is even more expensive and not that comfortable. the best performance by a kapchai and yet cannot catch with kips acceleration.
yamaha 125z - fuel guzzler and cannot last 40 minutes top speed run without jam. also popular among theft
yamaha rxz - 160kph for 40 minutes during hot afternoon? no disc brake rear, no monoshock and no cradle chassis frame also to my dislike.
honda nsr - issue with electronic PV, more reliable than TZM though.
250 bikes 4 stroke - expensive tyres and chain. cost of service is not cheap too. need to pay road tax as well. performance so-so unless it is 4 in-line.
250 bikes 2 stroke - fuel guzzler. parts are really expensive (TZR250, RGV250)
reason i stick to KRZ
1. buy cheap, sell also cheap but buy already cheap so why make noise?
2. fork repair - RM45. ren hup kajang
3. front tyre - 80/90 also can.. RM60 only.
4. brake pad - use RG sport. RM8.
5. speedo cable - rm9.
6. fuel consumption - RM20 = 10 litres = 220km. not bad, rite?
7. power valve = mechanical type, wont break at all.
8. water cooled - unbeatable ride for long distance. no worry for jem
9. service - like any other 150cc bike. no issues.

yup, nothing excellent on ZX2 other than the noise it makes.GhostRideR wrote:bro all disc, ZXR250 is 4 inline ma...
slighlty more power (just) but not worth it looking at maintenance and repair costs.
